The staff within the department offered high levels of support throughout the SKE, providing a clear structure with support sessions offering academic and practical support.  All of the department were welcoming and created a positive learning environment, allowing for the development of subject knowledge and self-confidence during periods of uncertainty.

Without the assistance of the department, I would have felt less confident teaching some areas of Geography while completing my training. They provided me with the necessary structure, resources and tips for effective teaching required for me to top-up my subject knowledge and build-up my confidence. The staff within Geography and around the school are supportive, friendly and help to create a conducive atmosphere for learning: both for pupils and those looking to improve their subject knowledge and gain practical experience prior to beginning an ITT course.
